About Akhona
I am Akhona, an English Literature and Politics student at Rhodes University in South Africa. I have a strong passion for language, writing and communication, and I believe that English is a skill that opens doors in every area of life. I was certified as a Community Engagement Mentor at Rhodes University in 2025, which means I have practical experience guiding and supporting others in an academic environment.

As an English Literature student at Rhodes University, I bring a deep understanding of the language. From grammar and writing, to comprehension and critical thinking. My lessons typically include reading, writing exercises and open conversation practice, helping students develop both accuracy and fluency.
