As a longtime elementary teacher, I find that creating good rapport with students is of utmost importance. I feel I am a great communicator, and I care deeply about my students and how well they learn. Creating a good growth mindset in learners is key to setting the stage for success! I have successfully taught hundreds of students how to read and how to become better readers! I have studied how children learn best and how to implement these strategies. I have my master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with students at various levels of abilities. I take into account the "whole" child and how each child learns best. I take time to consider the emotional, physical, social and academic characteristics of each student when planning lessons. I believe in bringing love, care, and humor to the students I teach!
