My approach is explicit, systematic, and individualized, focusing on building foundational literacy skills and fostering a positive, encouraging learning environment. I share my knowledge through direct instruction, modeling, guided practice, and ongoing collaboration with students. I use direct instruction methods, meaning I clearly state the objective of each lesson and model the expected skill. New material is presented in small, logical steps, progressing from simple to more complex concepts in a structured sequence. Students receive immediate, specific feedback and opportunities for guided practice after each step to ensure mastery. I create a patient, positive, and engaging atmosphere.
