About Catherine
I have two teaching degrees. My first BA degree is for working with students who struggle academically. My second degree is teaching in a classroom environment. I am a trained and experienced Reading Recovery teacher and have experience in other reading programs, both individually and in small groups. I personally love reading and writing and enjoy developing student's joy for both English topics. I have assisted students who struggled with reading, spelling, writing, and maths for a number of years and am eager to share my knowledge and skills.

I can work within a classroom environment and also individually. My teaching methodology depends upon the student's needs, the parent's wishes, and the classroom teacher's input. I am flexible in my teaching methodology, allowing for needed changes to better assist the student's growth an development.

My travel rate depends upon the location of the student(s) and the distance involved in traveling to the student or agreed to place for the lesson. The first hour will be to meet each other and discuss what your child's academic needs are. This may include some simple assessments and games that the family can play together to enhance your child's knowledge in between lessons.
