About Beryl
I am a Secondary English teacher with a Master's degree in English, certified in Wisconsin and Illinois. I have taught High school Literature and creative writing in Chicago public high schools and Milwaukee public schools. I have tutored ACT prep classes in Chicago public schools. I also aught speech communication and public speaking at Milwaukee Seminary. I began teaching English in 2004.

My methods of teaching English is to break down the parts into sections. Once each section is mastered then the whole part is assembled. The student is amazed that hey have completed a seemingly difficult task. I teach the fundamentals of rhyming poetry and the structure of poetry. I am a published poet in a grass roots magazine.
