About Timothy
I am a retired teacher, I’ve taught math, history, English, science and even chess. I’ve run creative writing clubs, chess clubs, game development clubs and even AR/VR clubs. My specialty was to help reluctant readers to love reading and to become fluent readers. I am a published author for poetry and run an international writer’s group for poetry and prose.

I believe the desire to read starts with a good story. The story must be of interest to the the reader. Having the reluctant reader read in collaboration with a fluent reader helps maintain interest in the story, expand the vocabulary, and allow for meaningful discussions of the story. All the while building the reader’s confidence, self esteem, reading independence and fluency.
