About Cindy
I am a CPA (retired), with over 10 years of experience teaching business skills. Training and courses taught include - Accounting, Graphic Arts, Career Development, Business English, and Digital Literacy. I have an M.A. in Business Administration and an M.Ed. in Education. I have 4 years of cross-cultural experience in three countries. My favorite projects have been - teaching bookkeeping in a classroom setting, building capacity at a conservation NGO, development of a youth social enterprise, training staff on financial statements, and teaching Business English.

My lessons include reading, speaking, writing and listening exercises that specifically meet the client's goals as determined by a Business English Assessment.
A typical lesson plan would include:
1. A pre-reading assignment on a subject that is specific to their line of work or future work
2. A review of the assigned reading that includes the client summarizing the reading and a discussion of difficult words or phrases.
3. Verbal feedback is provided during the session, and written feedback is provided after the session.
4. Written feedback provided includes - corrected phrases from lesson and an overview of phrases and words covered, including meaning and example sentences.
My passion is empowering Business English students (all ages), entrepreneurs and nonprofits by teaching important business skills. These skills include Business English, Accounting, Digital Literacy and Social Entrepreneurship.
