About Linda
I have 30 + years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist & manager. One of my duties was to teach and evaluate techs on a continuing basis. After retirement I pursued teaching at local colleges in the laboratory science programs which is heavy in the life sciences. My highest education level is a master's and I hold a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences.

Experience teaching laboratory & life sciences on college level to multicultural students across all ages. I believe in interactive learning, practical demonstrations and I draw on my related work experiences in the health care environment. I prefer to follow a textbook for better organization highlighting the important concepts and presenting them in a different context to facilitate student understanding. At certain intervals I will pause for review then have the student complete a short project or questionnaire so I can evaluate progress. I firmly believe education is the key to a successful future and am devoted to assisting students in achieving this for themselves. My previous experience is at the adult or college level but can extend to other levels in science education.

Details
I am willing to teach in a classroom of the student's choice or any location at the student's preference. My only stipulation is that I stay on the far westside of the Phoenix/Buckeye area. I think it is important to have face-to-face contact in a learning situation at least in the beginning and we can certainly consider online in the future. Since I have advanced degrees and experience teaching the sciences I will expect an increase to $30/hr after the initial phase of tutoring.
