I am a proud Māori wāhine from Te Tairāwhiti with a deep commitment to education, language, and identity. My favorite saying to live by is “Māori ake nei, Māori everyday”—a reminder to honor who I am and where I come from in everything I do. Teaching for me is about more than just delivering content; it’s about relationships, whānau, and creating a safe and inclusive space where every tamaiti feels valued and seen. I’m passionate about the next generation and dedicated to nurturing them into confident, connected, and capable individuals—proud of their culture, equipped for their future, and grounded in who they are.

Te Reo Maori
My tutoring approach is relationship-based and culturally responsive. I tailor each session to suit individual needs, using clear structure, repetition, and real-life context. Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes long. I teach Te Reo Māori me ōna Tikanga to Years 1–10 in a way that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering for all learners. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Māori and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in a Māori Medium. I have experience teaching in both mainstream and bilingual settings, including working with neurodiverse ākonga. My aim is to build confidence, connection, and cultural pride through every lesson.
