About Blake
For the past 9 years, I have been helping High School and College students learn Spanish with confidence and enthusiasm. I have successfully taught around 150 students, supporting them in reaching their academic and personal learning goals. My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that every learner has unique strengths and deserves a personalised approach.
My lessons are carefully planned to develop grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I use simple explanations, conversation practice, exercises, and regular revision to help students understand concepts clearly. I also encourage students to think in Spanish instead of only translating from their native language.
One of my greatest achievements has been watching students become more confident speakers and independent learners. Many have improved their grades and developed a stronger interest in learning the language. I celebrate every student's progress because each success reflects their dedication and hard work.
As a tutor, I strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where students enjoy learning without feeling pressured. My goal is to help every learner build lasting confidence and discover the many opportunities that Spanish can provide.

My Spanish teaching methodology combines structure, engagement, and adaptability to create effective learning experiences. Accountability helps students set clear goals, monitor progress, and actively participate in their learning. Integrity guarantees lessons are honest, fair, and tailored to each student’s abilities and needs.
I use Flexibility to adapt lesson plans, exercises, and strategies to different learning styles, proficiency levels, and interests. Communication is central; I encourage discussion, conversation, and interactive exercises to develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence. A Positive learning environment motivates learners, celebrates achievements, and fosters curiosity.
I also integrate complementary subjects such as grammar, literature, vocabulary, and cultural studies to provide context and enrich understanding. My goal is to help students communicate effectively, gain fluency, and enjoy learning Spanish.
