Data persistence plays a vital role in today's computer systems. Relational databases allow you to manipulate data in a secure, reliable and consistent way. During the lesson we will see how to design a relational database, the SQL syntax useful in creating the data model (tables) and instructions used to read, modify the data.
In addition to relational databases, there are non-relational persistence systems (NoSQL). They are also known as document databases. Let's see the main features of these systems and how they differ from relational databases.
