Guru Jayanthi is by far the best human, Bharathanatyam and Kathak teacher I have had the honor to interact with. She has exceptional knowledge in the Indian culture, dance forms and years of great experience in Natya, Abhinaya and flow. I highly recommend her as a compassionate and dedicated teacher. Very disciplined and perfectionist teacher who expects and encourages her students to adapt the same. We were lucky to have her train our daughter (Meena Varambally-USA) who did her Bharathanatya Rangapravesha in year 2019.

I had the privilage of receiving training in the beautiful dance form of Kathak from Jayanthi didi for about 6 years. Didi is a perfectionist and it always reflects in her teaching. She explains every movement in detail and with a lot of patience and passion. She knew the shortcomings of each of her students by heart and always provided individual attention. It was amazing how she would lose track of time trying to correct our mistakes. I am very grateful to her. I started learning Bharatanatyam from Jayanthi akka at the age of 25 while pursuing my PhD. I had never learnt any type classical dance form prior to this. Like me there were many other students who started to learning bharatnatyam in their mid or late 20's. Jayanthi akka taught us with so much dedication, passion, patience and sincerity that we fell in love with this dance form as well as with her. She is an epitome of strength. In addition to bharatnatyam, she also teaches values of our tradition, different yoga asanas to keep out body flexible and disciplined life style. For me personally, learning Bharatanatyam from her helped me lot in mitigating my stress related to PhD research. Jayanthi akka is the best and I am very previledged to be her student.
