About Tasrat
Hi, I’m Tassy, a registered optometrist with a strong background in biology and healthcare. Through my work, I regularly explain complex information in a way that feels clear, approachable, and easy to understand. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their learning and move beyond memorizing facts to genuinely understanding concepts.
I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students can ask questions comfortably and learn at their own pace. My goal is to help students feel less overwhelmed, strengthen their understanding, and develop study habits that support long-term success.

My approach focuses on helping students understand concepts rather than memorising information. I break complex topics into simple, manageable steps and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, pace and goals. I use active learning techniques including discussion, practice questions, visual explanations and real-world examples to strengthen understanding and build confidence.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on individual needs.
I am a registered optometrist with a strong background in biology and healthcare. My experience has strengthened my ability to explain complex information clearly and create a calm, supportive learning environment.
My lessons are suitable for students wanting support in general biology and science, as well as those looking to improve study skills, confidence and understanding.
