About Matt
I'm a reference librarian with 20 years in the field. I've taught homeschool students, English as a Second Language, alternative high school, robotics, carpentry, rock climbing, swimming and more. I've launched businesses for myself and others, learned multiple trades, flipped houses, and raised kids. I am one of the most curious people that you will ever meet; this is my secret weapon to learning anything.

First, we establish what your area of interest is and decide on a question or an area to focus on. Then, we use research principles and conduct a literature review to find what is already known about a the topic. Then we practice, or experiment, or build. We analyze and iterate. Then we explain it and teach it to others. And we write and rewrite. And we have a project that has satisfied our curiosity and demonstrated mastery of a small piece of knowledge.
