About Sebastian
I have been involved in teaching ever since I left secondary school. In 2017, I spent 8 months teaching English at a school in Russia. While there, I also arranged an English club for underperforming students and private tuition, developing my teaching skills for a range of abilities. In summer 2018, I taught at a camp in China for 2 months, delivering over 200 hours of lessons in Maths, Economics and Classics. I also organised cultural and extra-curricular activities, such as song and business contests. In 2019, I directed a cultural exchange programme in Oxford for English and Chinese students. All this experience has given me a passion for developing students' interest and enthusiasm for learning in an incredibly rewarding role.
I will graduate from the University of Cambridge this year. I studied Classics and Russian for 2 years and have finished my final year in Management Studies. Before studying at Cambridge, I went to Ipswich School, completing A Levels in Chemistry, Economics, Latin, Maths and Russian.

My aim is to give students organised, enjoyable and productive lessons. I am friendly and professional with an adaptable approach to teaching.
My teaching style is largely flexible as I understand that different individuals prefer different methods of learning. In general, I plan lessons in advance based on the key areas that the student wishes to cover. I gauge the level of each student individually to ensure that lessons are neither too easy nor too hard, to keep lessons helpful and interesting.
