About Lindsay
My time in UCLA’s English program gave me the tools to confidently help students understand and improve their skills. Through lots of reading, writing, and discussion, I learned how to break down complex ideas into simple, clear explanations that actually make sense. I graduated on the Dean’s Honors List and earned Cum Laude Latin honors, which reflects both my hard work and strong understanding of the subject. I also studied abroad in London with UCLA, where I got to experience English in a more hands-on, real-world way. All of this helps me connect with students and make learning English feel more approachable, practical, and engaging.

My approach to English tutoring centers on the belief that every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to fit their individual needs, pace, and learning style. Rather than relying on memorization, I focus on helping students truly understand concepts, (whether it’s grammar, reading comprehension, or writing), so they can apply their skills with confidence in any context. I take time to identify where a student may be struggling and approach those challenges with patience and empathy, creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. By meeting students where they are and adapting to how they learn best, I aim to build both their skills and their confidence in a meaningful, lasting way.
