About Jake
My name is Jake Johnson. I am 23 and recently graduated from Clark University with my MBA. I have worked for world-class brands like Absolut and completed many digital marketing certifications. I went to Clark University, completed my undergraduate degree, and qualified for the accelerated MBA. I graduated on May 21, 2023.
I have lived in Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the USA. I have dual citizenship in Sweden and the USA. My family is Puerto Rican and Scandinavian by descent, so we call ourselves the Puerto Rican Vikings.
While completing High School at the Stockholm International School in Sweden, I played professional basketball at 17. I was the team captain and co-captain, depending on the years. Basketball is one of my favorite hobbies.

I am excited to teach marketing in a peer-to-peer style. My expertise is best suited for students finishing high school and/or their first two years at university. Since I recently went through the MBA, I can give critical insights into new technology, Ai for decision-making, and general knowledge about the college process. We can discuss business style writing, essay writing, communication, general marketing, digital marketing, and branding!
I tend to take a coaching style to my leadership in past roles. I was the captain of a professional basketball team in Sweden (AIK). So, I have worked hard to cultivate my leadership skills in high-intensity scenarios. I also will be taking a pace-setting approach to tutoring—the coaching and pace-setting leadership styles partner very well for results-oriented growth. Pace-setting alone leaves little room for growth, but being a mentor/coach and implementing pace-setting leadership can push students to grow rapidly and perform better than ever.
My favorite discussion topics are brand building, structuring, and strategy. I have experience in global marketing teams working with creative marketing agencies and love to work in fast-paced environments.
