About Solenn

I am passionate about politics, history, and sociology, with a special interest in immigration and religion. My areas of expertise are the Middle East, North Africa, and western Europe.

In my spare time, I enjoy fencing and other sports. I have experience in one-on-one and group tutoring, both of which I enjoyed greatly.

About the lesson

Lessons would last 40 minutes to an hour. I have experience teaching children and tutoring and proofreading high-school level essays. I have a BA in History & International Relations from Durham, and an MSc in International Migration and Public Policy from LSE.
I would go through class content and learn to take and organise notes effectively to make revision easier. I can also read and provide feedback on essay, thesis, and dissertation drafts. For such lessons, one session would be spent drafting ideas and brainstorming based on the question/task provided, setting clear homework objectives for the next session; then, a more in-depth plan would be revised and given feedback on. Lastly, I would suggest improvements on first and subsequent drafts, which can be worked on in the lesson. The aim is for a fully written essay or thesis to be produced by the student, with my help.
