About Amber
I am passionate about the subjects History and French, having graduated from the University of Sheffield with a 2:1 in History. I am keen to help others improve their History skills at GCSE, AS and A Level, as well as undergraduates studying History.
I have also studied abroad for one year in France as part of my degree, and have spent the last seven months teaching English in France. I hold a GCSE and AS Level in the French language, alongside completing University modules in French to a 2:1 standard. This has equipped me with a sound knowledge of the French language, and I am able to tutor beginners, GCSE level and AS Level French students who are keen to improve their level of French. This can range from conversation classes to helping with grammar, writing and language rules.

To whom may be concerned,
Amber worked with us from October 1st, 2019 to the beginning of the lockdown in France on March 13th, 2020. We found her to be a pleasure to work with as well as a dynamic force in the classroom.
As a language assistant, Amber was successful in her role. The main goal of the position is to help our high school students develop their oral English skills. She was able to help the students achieve this by creating a positive learning space, and by keeping activities interesting while simultaneously at an appropriate level of difficulty. She was a real asset for our team and our students.
Amber was sociable and immediately got on well with our students. She was definitely willing to motivate them and help them talk.To whom may be concerned,

I have therefore known her for around four years. We shared some seminar groups whilst studying and she has become a friend of both myself and my partner and we have stayed in touch since graduation. I am therefore very happy to provide a reference for her. Amber was a valuable member of the seminar groups we attended together. Her contributions were always respectful of others, thoughtful, informative and relevant. Her approach to others is clearly underpinned by a solid set of values that reflect her commitment to anti-discriminatory, non-judgmental and inclusive practice and relationships with others. She is honest and diligent in performing any task for which she takes responsibilty. Amber has gained valuable recent experience in France teaching English to French speakers and was successful in forming professional relationships with colleagues and students alike. She is highly proficient in French and I believe could tutor students up to A level standard as well as tutoring History students well beyond that. I know that Amber thoroughly enjoyed her teaching experience. I have no hesitation in recommending her to you as a tutor in either, or both, these subjects. If I can provide any further information please don't hesitate to get in touch.
