About Kate
Hi! My name is Kate and I am a recent high school graduate, having completed my HSC in 2021, and am currently a student pilot studying a Diploma of Aviation for a Commercial Pilots Licence. I have experience tutoring years 3,4 and year 8 students in mathematics, but am also interested in taking on year 11 and 12 students for chemistry and mathematics as I recently completed these subjects achieving the following results:
Chemistry - 86/100 (Band 5)
Mathematics Advanced - 93/100 (Band 6)
Mathematics Extension 1 - 46/50 (E4)
and an atar of 96.65.
As a tutor, my goal is to be of support and assistance to my students in any areas they may struggle with, and ultimately allow them to improve their confidence in these areas and achieve the best results they possibly can.

My lessons typically last about an hour.
As a tutor I like to first assess where my students are at with their learning and identify any areas of deficiency that my students need special assistance with. From here I work on these topics with my students aiming to improve their understanding and confidence.
I have access to resources such as past papers specifically for HSC students. I am also happy to teach ahead of topics learnt in class (specifically for my year 11 and 12 students) depending on my student's wants/requirements. For my younger students (Years 7-10) I am happy to be of assistance with homework, or simply areas they are struggling with in class.

Details
My rates start off as $40 per hour for students from years 1-10 for mathematics, and increase to $60 per hour for years 11-12 students for both advanced mathematics, extension 1 mathematics and chemistry.
