About Lily

Hi I'm Lily, and I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students discover their strengths and feel confident in their learning. As a first-rank student in all my subjects, I understand the study habits, mindset, and strategies needed to excel, and am passionate about sharing these with the students I teach. My love for History has shaped both my academic journey and my future goals. I’m pursuing this passion further by undertaking a Bachelor of History at Macquarie University, and in 2024 I had the incredible opportunity to travel on a History Study Tour to Japan with PAMS, where I deepened my understanding of the role of public history, historical inquiry and historical literacy. I want to teach because I’ve seen how transformative supportive, personalized guidance can be. Helping students turn confusion into clarity especially in lesser-touched subjects such as the Histories, is something I find deeply rewarding. Whether I’m preparing senior students for the HSC or helping younger learners build foundational skills, my aim is always to help them feel capable and confident in their abilities, and proud of their progress. Professionalism is at the heart of my approach. I come prepared, communicate clearly, and tailor every lesson to the student’s needs. My goal is to provide a supportive, organized, and encouraging environment where students feel safe to ask questions, explore ideas, and achieve their best.

About the lesson

I teach using clear, structured methods that focus on building confidence, strengthening core skills, that help students truly understand the context, not just memorize it.

My approach blends guided discussion, scaffolded practice, and personalized feedback, ensuring each student feels supported while being challenged to grow.

Lessons run for 30–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and the depth of content being covered.

I specialize in Humanities subjects, drawing on my experience as a recent High school graduate. I only tutor for subjects where I received first rank as your student deserves the best I can offer.

I support students with personalized test preparation, content learning, skill development, with revision techniques that help them approach assessments calmly and confidently. Whether there doing HSC or Prelim prep, or simply test prep.

My lessons are suitable for students from years 7-12 and I tailor each session to match their level, goals, and learning style.
