About Anya
I'm 19 years old and have recently finished a gap year in China.
- I have always loved working with and spending time with those younger than me. Being able to see students progress and achieve better results with my help is always extremely heart-warming, and something that makes tutoring truly enjoyable for me. I love getting to know my students and establishing both a teacher-student relationship and also a level of trust and friendship.
- 4 years of tutoring experience in maths, science (primarily biology and chemistry), English, and Mandarin Chinese
- Have worked with a range of students aged 6 to 18 at various levels including primary school curriculums, IBMYP, IGCSE and IBDP
- Students have seen leaps in grades and confidence in their ability to master the subjects through tutoring

Communication with students is important, to make sure teaching methods, content, pace, etc. are suitable and helpful to them. Creative methods of teaching are used, relating abstract concepts using demonstrations or real-life examples to spark interest. Practice problems are also used to ensure a thorough understanding of concepts and their application.
