About Dhruvbhai
Hello, I am Dhruvbhai Parmar. I am currently working as a middle school teacher. I have recently graduated with a second master's degree in physics (GPA: 3.97). My thesis for this master was in astrophysics. Besides this, I have another master in physics with thesis in nanotechnology (GPA: 3.95) and a bachelor in physics (GPA: 3.91). My score for Quantitative Reasoning was 162/170. I am someone who enjoys teaching and this is the reason I have been teaching since I was in my undergrad. The thing that drives me to teach is to make students understand that math and physics are fun subjects all you need is a little problem-solving skill, practice and perseverance.

As a tutor I believe in active listening and being meticulous. My philosophy is the teaching should start from understanding the student. As I have experience working with a wide range of students (from middle school to sophomores in university), I have come to realize that the best way to teach STEM courses is by understanding what works for individual scholar. Hence, I always ask for their previous work and talk with them, give them some problems to work on so I can understand where they currently stand, and based on that create lesson plan that would help them. My usual lesson mostly consists of some problem that targets a specific concept and I work through those problems with my students. I am most interested in working with high school students who are preparing for the university or freshman or sophomores in the university.
