About Oscar
I studied BSc Economics at UCL, and was happy to acquire a First-class with distinction on the completion of my degree. I`ve only just graduated this September (2017), so I still know what it`s like to be a student!
My situation is that I`m currently looking for graduate schemes to begin in September 2018, and plan to travel a little just before that.
I play a variety of sports and I don`t take myself too seriously, but I do like to do well in what I take part in!
I have taught part-time for a year as part of an enrichment programme at my school in Cambridgeshire, and taught full time for a month in Cape Town, South Africa!
I've always found that discussions around your particular problem areas are the best way to learn.
It isn't too scary, it helps identify specific gaps in knowledge, and it strengthens your contextual understanding around that problem area so that hopefully when it clicks, it clicks for good.
The next step is to test your understanding to make sure you see how your problem area fits in to the bigger picture! Running through a few problems together should get you off to a good start and then we can review pieces together to build up a strong level of self critique to improve your work going forward.
With that in mind, I like quite an open teaching style with a lot of in built flexibility based around student needs. Let me know what you enjoy and we can work it out together!

I studied with Oscar at UCL, and throughout our time at university together he proved time and again his ability to explain complex concepts and workings to myself and others in terms we could understand. He demonstrated patience and ability to motivate in equal measures. I only wish we'd met sooner, during my A-levels or GCSEs!
