About Sydney
I am a recent college graduate of Purdue University with a considerable amount of experience in education, tutoring, and advising. Throughout earning my two bachelors degrees I have thoroughly studied a person's ability to understand, process, and utilize information in different settings. I have excelled in courses related to child development, adolescent development, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, neurogenetic disorders, educational psychology, and more. Along with this, I have worked with students of all different abilities through tutoring, education, and case management for 8 years and counting.

I have a strong background in working with those with intellectual and developmental delay disorders; specifically, speech delays and executive functioning disorders. I believe it is of the utmost importance to meet the student where they are at and to understand their learning style. Not one single student is like the other, no one lesson plan will be the same across the board. I believe repetition and routine are important in studying and preparation. An initial lesson plan will consist of me getting to know the student, their experiences, and what has worked or not worked well for them in the past. They are the experts of their own minds and I strive to understand these deeper with each individual student.
