About Alex
The role of a tutor is not so much to teach a student how to answer a question, but to demonstrate how and why the answer is correct. Throughout my high school experience I found that simple but invaluable tips and advice are often given long after the content in question is complete. When applied early on, it allows for a much deeper and approachable dynamic for students who can then build upon the foundations.

During my senior year of high school all classes were abruptly moved to distance learning as a result of the COVID pandemic. This was when all of the safety measures and protocols went into effect, and it forced my classmates and me to teach ourselves and one another. We experimented with several different ways of learning the material, and to our surprise, many of these methods worked better for us than the traditional approaches our teachers had used. I would say that what sets me apart from other tutors is that I can offer the information in numerous manners and approaches that utilize the student's strengths and allows them to apply these techniques regardless of the course in question. The public education system only typically offers one or two approaches to learning information, largely due to class sizes making one-on-one instruction unfeasible. I offer this one-on-one instruction and can guide the student through various approaches to determine the best path forward.
