Hi, I’m Luke. I offer practical, outcome driven online English tuition that builds confidence and improves results.

I am ambitious, dedicated and disciplined, with a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to helping each student reach their potential.

I achieved a high school English distinction and have hands on mentoring and one to one coaching experience, including senior level school leadership roles. I am an astute speaker of the English language and am passionate about the language. I focus on clear, measurable progress: a short diagnostic, targeted practice in each lesson, instant correction and personalised written feedback so students see steady improvement.

I want students to find their voice, overcome self doubt and realise they are capable of far more than they think.

My lessons are professional and reliable. I set clear goals, use structured tasks that transfer to real exams and everyday speaking, and adapt to each student’s pace and needs. I bring strong subject knowledge, proven mentoring experience and a track record of helping learners gain confidence and higher grades.

We will set realistic goals and a simple plan to reach them.

About the lesson

My approach
I create focused, outcome driven lessons that turn uncertainty into clear, measurable progress. Each class begins with a short diagnostic or review, then we work on one or two targeted skills with active practice, immediate feedback and a clear homework task to build momentum between lessons.

Teaching methodology and techniques
• Diagnostic assessment to identify gaps and set short term targets.
• Communicative practice for speaking and pronunciation.
• Explicit modelling and scaffolded writing for essays and structured responses.
• Exam technique training: planning, paragraphing, time management and mark scheme awareness.
• Deliberate practice and retrieval tasks to improve retention.

Typical lesson length
• Standard lesson 45 or 60 minutes.
• Short 20 or 30 minute introductory assessment available so you can try a session before committing.

Qualifications and experience
• High school English distinction.
• Hands on mentoring experience with school learners and one to one coaching.
• Practical track record helping students improve confidence, structure their writing and perform better in timed assessments.
I currently work in a prep school providing diverse support.
