About Mathew
I am a classical saxophonist who recently graduated from the Chicago College of Performing Arts with a Bachelors degree currently based in Northeast Ohio. I perform as a soloist and maintain a reed quintet in the Chicago area. I will be starting my master's degree in the fall.

I teach by meeting you where you are and getting you where you want to go. Whether you are a student studying for AP tests or musicians looking for a better technical understanding, my methods are completely custom tailored for each person.
If you are a student in high school or college, I take a more academic approach following along with your coursework and implement supplementary material and exercises to help you best grasp the concept at hand.
For those looking for more of an application based approach, I skip some of of the more theoretical and academic parts of music theory for a more performance based approach. *Note: Music theory can not be taught completely absent from the theoretical concepts. Instead some of the material is replaced with practical applications*.
These approaches are not mutually exclusive. Whatever your goals are with music, I'm sure I can find a way to help!
