Involved in such a great community, not only locally but internationally, my world practically revolves around the study of language arts. I have been recognized in my knowledge of literature and writing in various ways. My positions in my community such as the features editor of the newspaper, consultant on campus as a tutor, awarded for my work, and achieving dean’s list as a reflection of my knowledge.

I am currently surrounded by the world and studies of literature and writing. I have experiences in student journalism and I work at the Writing and Research Center on campus where I aid students in all things writing: theses, citations, grammar, spelling, structure, formatting, etc. I am skilled in helping international students learn this foreign language in a formal written way. My skills in tutoring reach different subjects and languages showing a range of my understanding. I have also worked on the university’s newspaper as the features editor. At last year’s writing awards ceremony, I won first place for an article categorized in the “Arts & Leisure” section. I am currently studying abroad in France, and immersing myself in a new world of literature. I have a worldwide view of literature and am traveling a new continent to learn. I am also proficient in the French language – another form of writing and literature I am able to connect with literacy comprehension. I am a part of the English National Honors Society; Sigma Tau Delta. Being involved connects me to fellow students and professors dedicated to English literacy and writing on campus as well as others from all over. I am well-versed in various styles of writing and would love to help others fall in love with the subjects of language as much as I have!
