About Luca
Born and raised in the beautiful Italian region of Romagna, I’ve spent the last 10 years traveling the world.
My background as an educator is diverse: I began as a drum teacher, became a freediving instructor, and eventually transitioned into teaching philosophy and languages.
I draw on my experience in music and sports, along with my passion for philosophy and mysticism, to provide a wide range of engaging conversation topics. This allows us to move beyond "textbook talk" and into the kind of deep, meaningful discussions you actually encounter in real life.
As your teacher, I will help you explore authentic Italian regional cultures and develop the skills for genuine connection, allowing you to truly bond with the people you meet.

As a native, I will introduce you to the actual Italian people speak, the expressions rooted in the different regional cultures, and all the things you won't find in any textbook.
In our lessons, we'll jump straight into the deep end. We don’t aim for perfection but for expression, no matter how messy!
The Strategy:
Phase 1: Embrace the Mess. We start speaking, listening, and expressing ourselves from day one, no matter how "broken" it feels.
Phase 2: Solidify the Foundation. Once you’re comfortable being heard, we’ll expand your vocabulary and bridge the gaps in your understanding.
Phase 3: The Polish. Only after you can communicate will we fine-tune the structure, helping you express deeper thoughts with more precision.

I met Luca at a Streetlight Manifesto gig in NYC and we spent the night talking about reality! I then had some breathwork and meditation sessions with him in the weeks after, and he showed me things I still practice daily after almost a year. Learning Italian would just be an added perk, the real value is the conversation you can get into with this guy!
Luca has been my drum teacher for the past 2 years. I started as a beginner with a bit of experience, and now I’m touring with a band every summer! As a teacher, he makes you feel really comfortable and explains complex concepts in a very simple way with a very practical approach. I know these qualities would translate to anything he teaches. I don’t have time to start learning Italian just yet, but if I did, I would definitely go with Luca!
