A real business person & motivational Japanese tutor with 100+ hours of teaching experience for all students; from beginners to fellow business people! Tailored lessons for your specialty!

From start to finish, you kept a really positive attitude and genuinely enjoyed learning new things.
Over the next few lessons, let’s work on verb conjugations and particles, and while we’re at it, you’ll naturally get used to Japanese sentence order too, so it’s like hitting two birds with one stone.
JLPT is great because it lets you study in a structured way, so it’s a good place to start.
I’m really happy we get to prepare for it together!

今日はありがとうございました！
The trial lesson might have felt a bit short for fully getting back into the flow, but your interest, curiosity, and enthusiasm really stood out. From the way you talked about your background and work, I’d say your grammar is somewhere around N4 to N3 level.
I have a feeling your fluency will come back quickly as we keep practicing. We'll focus on general vocabulary and idioms, and also start bringing in expressions related to the topics you're personally interested in.
