About Majela
Hello! I'm Majela Walker, a dedicated High School Paraprofessional with a passion for helping students succeed. With over a year of experience teaching the Sonday Program, I’ve not only guided students through this proven method but have also enriched it with my own personalized reading curriculum, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. With a background in education since 2014, I’ve worked with students in small groups, teaching everything from history to reading. My approach is focused on building confidence, improving reading skills, and fostering a love for learning. I am committed to helping your child thrive and reach their full potential. Using the Sonday program we will work together to increase your identification of sight words, spelling, sounding out words syllable by syllable. We will also play fun games like reading bingo to help you to identify standard recurring words to help make reading fun and easy.
