Alright to start with I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. My first session with any student is mostly listening figuring out where the gaps actually are, not just where the grades say they are. From there, I build lessons around problem-solving rather than lecturing. I'll walk through a concept once, then hand the reins over: you work, I watch, and we fix mistakes in real time instead of after a test tells us they happened.
A typical session looks like this: quick check-in on what's been confusing since we last met, a short focused explanation of the day's topic, then guided practice where I gradually step back as you get more confident, and finally a few minutes reviewing what stuck and what didn't. Homework is targeted, never busywork.
What sets me apart is patience paired with honesty . I won't pretend something's clicking when it isn't, and I won't move on until it does. I also adapt my language depending on how a student thinks; some need visuals, some need analogies, some just need more repetitions.
I work with middle schoolers through college students, in details for subjects like biology and physics, students prepping for specific exams, and anyone who wants real understanding instead of memorized shortcuts. I majorly take grade 7 all through GCSE and IGCSE exam preparations
