About Alex
I am a sociable, confident person who loves teaching. I have also coached football sessions and I find it rewarding when I pass on my knowledge to people who are keen to learn. I play football too as it is my number one hobby. I love my music, my movies and delving into anything new and mysterious be it true crime or a good documentary. I focus my teaching on making sure students learn the very points I am making in a very concise and understandable way. As a clear communicator, this gives me an advantage when speaking. Often in my time, I have encountered new people in radio who are very keen to impress but probably aren't as prepared with it as they thought they might be. Journalism really is a field where experience can give you an edge. I can give students that slight advantage.

I will be able to teach you: How to vox How to be confident when voxing Interview techniques Editing and the nuances with editing audio. Producing, writing scripts and how to make them sharp and concise. The differences you will encounter with commercial radio and the BBC and I can give you an advantage before you start working or applying at either. Plus so much more. I have worked in the industry for 20 years, there is very little I cannot teach about it. I am just beginning my journey as a tutor but I am keen to pass on everything I have learnt about it. The lessons are for students studying radio journalism or for anyone who wants to enter the field of radio broadcast.
