I started from absolute zero and was worried Mandarin tones would be impossible. Yuqi has a way of making you hear the difference before you produce it. Patient, structured, never overwhelming. I worked with Yuqi before a business trip to Guangzhou — mainly presentation prep and meeting phrases and a bit of legal related terminologies. What impressed me was how practical it was: he made me rehearse the actual sentences I'd need, corrected my tones until they were right, and explained what my Chinese counterparts would actually hear. He even recorded some of the tougher pronunciations for me to re-listen and practice at home! I was really grateful for his help. The trip went noticeably smoother. Highly recommended for anyone using Chinese professionally.

I would say Yuqi might just be the best Chinese tutor you would find online - out of my personal experience. Before meeting him I have been learning Mandarin for a few years, I wouldn't say without any progress but I just felt there were so many difficulties since I am not the best at picking up new language! But Yuqi changed this perspective once and for all. He has great attention to details and bits by bits he has helped me to turn a lot of bad habits in both pronunciation and reading into good ones. Now I feel like I am learning with joy all the time when having his lessons, and I think he has reminded me that this was why I started at the very beginning :) I would definitely strongly recommend Yuqi's lesson!

I have known Yuqi for years now and he is definitely the most patient, energetic and charismatic teacher I've ever met.
