RADA graduate and professional theatre director teaches LAMDA examination preparation/speech and drama for children aged 5-18

Clemmie helped me with audition prep for drama schools in 2014, and also co-directed me in a version of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. She was fab in enthusiasm, knowledge, and kindness. That year I was offered a place at Mountview on the MA course (and waiting lists and recalls at other schools).

I can’t recommend Clemmie Reynolds highly enough for 1-2-1 audition preparation. Clemmie supported me through a multi-stage audition process for a leading role in a large-scale touring theatre production, which included both self-tape and in-person auditions. Her guidance was invaluable in helping me adapt and refine my performance for each medium.

Together, we worked on multiple scenes, including a particularly demanding scene that required an intense emotional shift - a true ‘snap’ moment. Clemmie helped me shape that arc, while also exploring the lighter, more nuanced scenes to bring out contrasting dimensions of the character. Her approach is rooted in curiosity and a deep understanding of text, always asking the questions that unlock detail and depth in performance.

We’ve also worked together in rep on two Alan Ayckbourn plays and what I love about collaborating with Clemmie is her ability to help you play - to remain open, present, and curious in the work. Her direction creates space to discover a character fresh each time.

Clemmie is an insightful, collaborative, and generous director - the kind of artist who lifts the work and the room. She’s out there working and knows what is required to get you the job. If you're preparing for an audition, especially one that asks a lot of you, she's the perfect person to have in your corner.

I was in a brilliant, difficult new play directed by Clemmie and not only benefited myself from her insight, intuition and analytical intelligence but marvelled at the way she got the best out of the rest of the company. Anyone working on a new or classical text would be lucky to have her as a tutor .

Clemmie worked for me tutoring my son in English & drama for both GCSE’s & A levels, helping him to achieve excellent grades. She has a positive & cheerful attitude. I can highly recommend Clemmie as a reliable, conscientious, intelligent person who is totally honest and trustworthy. She is very good with children, providing them with support and encouragement.

Dear Clemmie

Just a quick note as the long wait is finally over !!! Many many thanks as Immie received her results this morning and she acheived a B in her English paper so was really thrilled that she is now able to accept her first choice university so will be reading History of Art at Leeds in September !!! We are all very relieved and thrilled !!!

We just wanted to say a very big thank you for all your support and help which you gave to Immie in the preparations for these exams.

Max really misses you and the group. He owes a lot of his dedication and commitment to you and your enthusiasm for the theatre.
