About the lesson

As a Queen's Health Sciences Dean's List student with over five years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about helping students build confidence and truly understand biology rather than simply memorizing facts. I have tutored students in a variety of subjects, including English and the sciences, which has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to each student's unique learning needs.

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable pieces while connecting key ideas together so you can understand how everything fits into the bigger picture. I also relate concepts to real-world examples whenever possible, making them easier to remember and apply.

A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics you find most challenging. We then work through concepts step by step using clear explanations, practice questions, diagrams, and active discussion to reinforce your understanding. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and adjust the pace to match your learning style.
