About Kaiya
I work as a quality engineer which means I not only try to uphold good quality practices but also try to instill them in others. I have been tutoring most of my school life and have instructed students all over the Greater Vancouver Area. I grew up in Japan and have experienced all kinds of educations systems (Japanese, American, British, Canadian, international), tests and courses (AP, IB, SAT), and teaching needs (ESL, special needs for students on the spectrum, etc). I have always been a good test taker and can share my strategies.

Hi!
I am a well-organized, patient tutor that has worked with students of all grade levels (k-12) and special needs in a variety of subjects (English, math, science). I have taken the SAT’s (2290), the IB Diploma program and studied in the AP environment (BC Calc and Chem) and know the stress to perform well in what feels like a pressure cooker. As much as I can instruct and create a tough but reasonable study schedule to meet your goals, I can also empathize with the feeling of facing an insurmountable work load that never stops coming. Some of the biggest challenges facing students before university is adopting healthy study habits and managing time effectively.
