About Fiona
I come from a musical background, my mother played and taught the piano, and my father played the trumpet in a Dance Band.
After leaving school I worked, part time, for George Harrison Organs as a Keyboard Teacher and qualified with the Technics Music Academy, during this time my Students passed many Exams and competed in numerous concerts and competitions within the Technics Industry - once Technics disbanded their music programmes, I continued to work with George Harrison until he retired, I then worked with the North East Music Academy as well as teaching privately.
I have passed all 8 Grades of Piano with the ABRSM, many with distinctions, and hope to complete my Diploma early next year.
I have played in several Brass Bands for over 30 years, both Competition Bands and Concert Bands and have completed my Grade 5 in Trumpet with the ABRSM. I will be taking further exams in the near future.
I can also play the Baritone and Flugel Horn.

Individual or Group Lessons available in a purpose designed music studio teaching the basics, music appreciation and continuing to Grade 8 or above - ABRSM Exams available, and opportunities to take part in concerts to help gain confidence - wide range of music styles taught, as well as musical theory, transposing and composition. Students welcome from 6yrs and upwards.
Lessons are approx. half an hour long for individual students, or an hour in a group - a wide range of music is used and the lessons are individually tailored to each Students needs.
I have been teaching music for over 30 years and play for Choirs when needed and concerts. I also regularly play in Brass Bands
