About Mathilde
I’m a qualified languages teacher currently working in a secondary school, and I really enjoy helping students build confidence in French and Spanish. As a native French speaker and fluent Spanish speaker, I’m passionate about making languages feel accessible and less intimidating. I started tutoring because I wanted to support students more individually than is always possible in the classroom, and to help them feel comfortable speaking and expressing themselves without fear of making mistakes.

I am a qualified languages teacher currently working in a secondary school, offering online tuition in French and Spanish for KS3, GCSE and A-Level students.
I specialise in helping students feel more confident with speaking, as well as improving their writing and understanding of exam-style questions. My lessons are structured, supportive, and adapted to each student’s needs—whether they want to boost their grades, prepare for exams, or simply keep up with classwork.
Being a native French speaker and fluent in Spanish, I bring both linguistic accuracy and practical classroom experience. I understand the expectations of UK exam boards and can guide students through key skills such as:
• speaking practice and role plays
• translation techniques
• writing structure and vocabulary building
• exam question practice
I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making progress at their own pace.
