About Bethany

Hi, I'm Bethany Land I have a BA (Hons) in Education with Qualified Teacher Status and have spent the last five years teaching KS1, KS2, KS3, SEND & Functional Skills.

I am passionate about reading, particularly classic literature, English history, nature and archaeology.

I also enjoy spending time outdoors through hiking, swimming, and visiting historical places of interest such as national trust sites.

I love travelling and discovering new places and cultures.

About the lesson

Confidence building and closing knowledge gaps
Adult learners, apprentices, SEND and school-age learners

Every lesson is delivered online on a one-to-one basis and is carefully tailored to each learner's individual needs, current ability and learning goals. I offer a free initial consultation to discuss strengths, areas for development and how I can best support them.

I carefully plan every lesson to ensure it is engaging, purposeful and aligned with each learner's next steps. Using a wide range of high-quality teaching resources and evidence-based strategies, I create personalised learning programmes that build on prior knowledge and develop confidence. Ongoing assessment is embedded throughout every session, allowing me to monitor understanding, identify misconceptions and adapt my teaching to maximise progress. I also track each learner's development over time, ensuring lessons remain focused on their individual targets and long-term goals.

My lessons provide a calm, supportive and engaging learning environment where pupils feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes and develop a secure understanding of key concepts. Each session includes clear explanations, modelled examples, guided practice, independent application and constructive feedback, helping learners make consistent, measurable progress while fostering independence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
