About Monica
I am a qualified teacher with a Master’s degree in Education and 10 years of experience working within the UK education and childcare sector. I have taught and supported children across early-years and primary-school settings, helping them develop their English, phonics, reading, writing, communication and general learning skills.
I am bilingual in Polish and English, which allows me to offer specialised support to Polish-speaking children learning English as an additional language. I understand the difficulties children may experience when adapting to an English-speaking school and can explain new vocabulary and concepts in Polish when helpful.
I can also be helpful to anyone who wants to learn English as Polish being his/ her first language.

My lessons are carefully adapted to each child’s age, English level, interests and learning needs. I teach through stories, phonics, conversation, educational games, reading, writing and creative activities.
I particularly support Polish-speaking children who are beginning to learn English or need extra help understanding their schoolwork. As a fluent Polish and English speaker, I can explain unfamiliar words and concepts in Polish when necessary before gradually encouraging the child to communicate independently in English. I have also experience with teaching English to adult levels.
My online lessons are suitable for early-years and primary-school children, including complete beginners and children learning English as an additional language as well as grown-ups.
