Hi! Hello! My name is Sophie and I am a qualified history teacher. I have taught both History and Politics, with AQA and Edexcel at GCSE and A-level. I have taught both online and in schools and have had a number of my A-Level Students admitted to Cambridge and Oxford. I have now been teaching online for 3 years, working with over 50 students. I am confident at supporting A-Level students as well as homeschooled students or those currently learning outside of a traditional school setting. I am very friendly and approachable and I like to work together to understand your strengths and weaknesses and how we can get you the grades you’re striving for. Nearer exam season we can focus on exam tips and revision sessions and I’m always available to answer any questions you have. I have experience of Russian History, American History, Wars of the Roses, Mao's China, The Tudors, and Germany from WW1 onwards. I love to teach and share my passion for my topic while also getting to the heart of the skills that the history exams are assessing. Our first sessions will be all about understanding how you learn and what areas you’re struggling with. We’ll include plenty of formative assessments so we can see how you’re progressing and how you might perform in exams. I’ll tailor lessons to your needs and we can work on both content and skills to make sure you’re on track for those Grade 9s and A*!
