About Navid
I’m a UK-qualified Teacher of Science with a PGCE and QTS, specialising in Physics. Before becoming a teacher, I spent over 20 years as a senior broadcast journalist and documentary producer, explaining complex ideas to millions of people. Eventually, I realised that helping young people discover science was where I truly wanted to make a difference.
I believe that every student is capable of succeeding when learning is clear, engaging and adapted to their individual needs. My goal isn’t simply to improve grades, but to build confidence, curiosity and a genuine understanding of science.
I enjoy making difficult concepts simple by using real-life examples, storytelling and visual explanations. Whether you’re struggling with Physics, preparing for GCSE exams or aiming for top grades, I’ll help you learn in a calm, supportive and encouraging environment where no question is ever a silly question.
I’m passionate about helping students realise that science isn’t about memorising facts—it’s about understanding how the world works. Once that understanding clicks, learning becomes far more enjoyable.

Hello! I’m Navid, a UK-qualified Teacher of Science with a PGCE and QTS, specialising in Physics. I teach KS3 Science, GCSE Combined Science and GCSE Physics, offering lessons that are engaging, personalised and focused on building genuine understanding as well as excellent exam results.
Before becoming a teacher, I spent more than 20 years as a senior broadcast journalist and documentary producer. Explaining complex ideas clearly and telling compelling stories was my profession, and those skills now help me make science accessible, memorable and enjoyable for every student.
I believe every student can succeed with the right support. My lessons are carefully adapted to each learner’s needs, whether they want to improve confidence, catch up with schoolwork, prepare for GCSE exams or aim for the highest grades. I combine clear explanations, visual learning, real-life examples, retrieval practice and effective exam techniques to help students make steady progress.
As a classroom teacher in UK secondary schools, I understand the GCSE curriculum, common misconceptions and what examiners are looking for. My aim is not simply to help students memorise facts, but to develop their scientific thinking and problem-solving skills so they can apply their knowledge with confidence.
I provide a friendly, supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. Every lesson is designed to build confidence, curiosity and independent learning.
Lessons are available online across the UK and internationally, as well as in person across West Sussex.
