About Aoife
I am a qualified science teacher with experience teaching GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, as well as A-Level Biology. Before moving into education, I spent over seven years working in scientific laboratories, giving me a strong understanding of how science is applied in real-world settings.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. My combination of classroom teaching experience and professional scientific expertise allows me to explain complex topics in a clear and relatable way. I take pride in being patient, approachable, and supportive, creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their knowledge.

My lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student, whether they are studying GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or A-Level Biology. As a qualified science teacher with classroom experience and over seven years of professional laboratory experience, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world scientific applications into my teaching.
A typical lesson begins with a review of prior knowledge and identification of any misconceptions. I then explain key concepts using clear examples, diagrams, and exam-style questions before guiding students through practice tasks. Throughout the lesson, I use regular questioning to check understanding and adapt my teaching to the student's progress.
What sets me apart is my combination of teaching expertise and industry experience. Having worked in scientific laboratories before moving into education, I can relate scientific concepts to real-world situations, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the subject rather than simply memorising facts.
