About Angeline
I’m a qualified Science teacher with over 15 years’ experience in education and 10 years’ experience tutoring students online. I specialise in GCSE and iGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and I also teach A-level Biology and Edexcel iGCSE Human Biology.
I’m also an Edexcel iGCSE Physics examiner, giving me a strong understanding of how marks are awarded, the mistakes students commonly make and the exam technique needed to turn scientific knowledge into marks.
I’ve taught students across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds, including students learning through home education. My approach is calm, clear and individualised: I identify where understanding has broken down, explain difficult ideas in a way that makes sense to the student and then build confidence through carefully chosen questions and exam practice.
Whether a student needs to rebuild confidence, fill gaps in their knowledge or push towards the highest grades, lessons are tailored to their individual goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme.

Lessons begin by identifying what the student already understands and where the gaps or misconceptions are. From there, I tailor each session to the individual student rather than simply working through a generic programme.
I use clear explanations, questioning and targeted practice to build secure understanding before applying it to exam-style and past-paper questions.
Exam technique is an important part of my teaching. We work on command words, interpreting unfamiliar questions, applying knowledge and understanding exactly what the mark scheme is looking for. Students can follow a structured programme through their specification or use lessons for targeted support with difficult topics, mock preparation and past-paper practice.
