About Mair
Hi, I'm Mair! I've always been fascinated by why people think, feel and behave the way they do, which is what first drew me to Psychology. That interest eventually led me to complete a Psychology degree before qualifying as a secondary teacher with a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
I know first-hand that some topics can feel overwhelming at first, so I enjoy helping students break them down into something that finally clicks. One of my favourite parts of teaching is seeing a student's confidence grow, whether that's answering a question they were nervous about or achieving a grade they didn't think was possible.
Outside the classroom, I love reading, travelling and exploring new places. I bring that same curiosity into my teaching, making lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's goals.

Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit your individual needs, learning style and goals. Whether you're studying GCSE or A-Level Psychology, preparing for mock exams, or looking to improve your confidence in the subject, I'll create lessons that help you make steady progress.
My teaching combines clear explanations with active learning, using real-life examples, retrieval practice, exam questions and effective revision strategies to make complex topics easier to understand and remember. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping you interpret questions, structure high-quality answers and avoid common mistakes.
As a qualified teacher with a Psychology degree, PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I'm familiar with the current GCSE and A-Level specifications and understand what students need to succeed. My lessons are supportive, engaging and tailored to your pace, creating an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and challenging yourself.
