Offer engaging, practical and hands on Maths sessions aimed at supporting young children in the areas they are struggling in. We would start our session by discussing the things that they are finding hard and what they want the focus to be moving forward. This will help me to build a plan to help them moving forward and help them to achieve their goals and targets. Each session would begin with a starter activity to launch the focus for the session followed by a practical demonstration. We would follow this with some worked examples of the questions and then an independent task to assess understanding.
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a specialism in Maths teaching so I am experienced in planning and delivering sessions to young people. I have an a level qualification in Maths and am confident in my ability to teach up to 16 year olds.
