About Sunny

Hi, I’m an experienced primary teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience, and I’m passionate about helping children build strong foundations in English and Math.

I enjoy working with children of different abilities and I always aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident to try.

I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student. My lessons are structured, patient, and engaging, helping children not only improve their skills but also develop confidence in their learning.

Over the years, I have helped many students strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills, and it’s always rewarding to see them grow and become more independent learners.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring focuses on building strong foundations, confidence, and a genuine understanding of English and Math. I believe every child can improve when lessons are structured, engaging, and adapted to their individual level.

I use a step-by-step teaching method, starting with basic concepts and gradually increasing difficulty once the student is confident. Rather than memorization, I focus on helping students understand “why”, so they can apply their knowledge independently.

Lessons are interactive and supportive, especially for beginners. I use:

Guided reading and phonics (for English learners)
Structured writing practice
Clear explanation of math concepts with examples
Repetition and reinforcement to build confidence

Each lesson is typically 60 minutes, allowing enough time for teaching, practice, and feedback without overwhelming the student.

I am a qualified teacher with over 9 years of experience, and I have worked with a wide range of students, including complete beginners. I am patient, encouraging, and experienced in helping children who may lack confidence or need extra support.

Lessons are primarily conducted in small groups (maximum 5 students), which helps create an interactive and supportive learning environment while still allowing for individual attention. One-to-one lessons are also available for students who prefer more personalized support.

These lessons are designed for primary school students (approximately ages 5–11 / Years 1–6), especially those who:

Are beginners in English
Need to strengthen reading, writing, or math foundations
Want to build confidence and improve steadily in a structured way
