About George
I have seven years of teaching experience and experience as a literacy lead in an outstanding primary school. I have completed a master’s degree in children’s literature and now work at a leading literacy charity as a books and pedagogy specialist. I love making my lessons fun and creative - including drama, music, art and much more to bring them to life for learners of all abilities. Some of my personal interests include football, playing guitar and banjo, and (of course) reading!

I specialise in encouraging positive relationships with literacy and developing a love of reading in students of primary ages. I have a detailed knowledge of phonics programming and the mechanics of reading, but I prefer to harness the magic of books and stories to create lifelong literacy that extends beyond the classroom.
